Don't Hate on Delta-8: Get to know our FAV Cannabinoid!

Save yourself the gas and the pricey trip to the dispensary. You don’t have to travel far to enjoy THC, just stop by MiVapeCo.! We offer a wide range of ways to consume your favorite cannabinoids, and a wide range of cannabinoids to choose from! Though our selection is extensive, we recommend Delta-8 as a great all-around enjoyable cannabinoid to get started in the world of hemp derived THC!

Delta-8 is a cannabinoid that is found in all plants that produce THC. All cannabinoids, including Delta-8, Delta-9, and CBD interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which helps control many important functions in your body, like inflammation and pain regulation. Endocannabinoid receptors are where the active parts of THC bind for consumption, and they are found within the cardiac, gastrointestinal, brain, muscular and reproductive systems. We process THC and CBD all throughout our bodies, allowing us to feel all the benefits of Delta-8 from head to toe!

Delta-8 is one of over 100 cannabinoids produced naturally by the cannabis plant but is not found in significant amounts in the cannabis plant. Delta-8 can be found in trace amounts in cannabis and hemp plants, and as hemp is legal to grow anywhere in the US and more accessible to grow, the cannabinoid is often sourced from hemp! In the US, nearly all delta-8 THC currently on the market is derived from CBD extracted from federally legal hemp. Though hemp is in the cannabis family, it organically contains around < 0.3% THC. Nearly every brand that produces Delta-8 does so with isomerizing the CBD and hemp from the plant itself. This process involves adding an acid solution and heat to CBD isolate or hemp crude oil, which brings out all the fun and helpful effects of the stronger Delta-8! Though delta-8 is similar to delta-9 THC (which is found in traditional cannabis), it has a slightly different chemical structure that makes it a lot less potent and easier to consume.

Don’t think skipping the line for marijuana keeps you from the infinite joys of THC! Delta-8 still contains all the physically relaxing and comfortable psychoactive effects, without some of the more negative effects of classic cannabis like nausea and paranoia. Many members on our team even prefer Delta-8 over common THC for the soothing, mild euphoria and its low-impact on impairment on their daily duties and creative endeavors. Consuming Delta-8 often leads to a more mild “high” than delta-9 THC with less accompanying anxiety. Delta-8 is growing more and more popular for providing relief from chronic pain, anxiety and depression, and can bring a lot of new ways to enjoy THC to those nervous about cannabis.

If you’re just getting started with Delta-8, we recommend speaking to your doctor in regards to how THC might affect you or any medications you currently take, and to consume responsibly. Our rule at MiVapeCo. is to start slow and see how it goes! Consuming lower qualities helps prevent the risk of unwanted side effects of over consuming. The consumption method will affect how quickly you feel those effects. If you’re vaping Delta-8 from our MiaVero or Chamba disposable pens, you should feel the effects within ten minutes or less; if you’re taking edibles like our delicious Dose gummies, wait at least an hour or two before taking more! Even experienced THC users can still feel the effects of Delta-8, so it helps to be prepared as you enjoy the highs of your new favorite gummies or vapes.

Research on Delta-8 is still just getting started, so whether or not it will show up on a drug test is not fully known. As it is a cannabinoid similar to Delta-9/regular THC, we think it’s safe to assume that any test for Delta-9 will also show Delta-8. If you know you are getting a drug test, it’s probably best to play it safe and abstain from consuming Delta-8, and check out some of our CBD isolate options to still enjoy the medicinal relief of hemp with brands like JustCBD and Miavero!
