Putting the Squeeze on Vape Juice: What is E-liquid?

Putting the Squeeze on Vape Juice: What is E-liquid?

Are you tired of smoking and ready to make the change? Jumping from smoke to vape lets you satisfy your nicotine craving without some of the more dangerous and unhealthy aspects of cigarettes. Unlike traditional cigarettes, e-liquid doesn’t contain cancer-causing chemicals like tar and benzene, or the scary sounding carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide. You can easily cut back on the harmful chemicals you consume when you vape instead of smoke.

Let's be clear - if you’ve never smoked, then we do not recommend nicotine juice if you start vaping. Nothing beats fresh, clean air for your lungs! But for those seeking a safer, easier way to cut down on cigarettes, vaping can provide the satisfaction of smoking and better control of your nicotine intake. We ultimately recommend 0mg liquid as the goal for all vapers to hit and eliminate nicotine from your daily consumption.

In order to follow our mission here at MiVapeCo., we must strive to create a cigarette-free world, and that starts with reducing harm and helping you steer away from tobacco with e-liquid vaping!

E-Liquid is made up of four basic ingredients; water, nicotine, flavorings, and a propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin base. It’s commonplace to see a mixture of the two bases for most standard freebase and salt nicotine juices. To explain a bit further about bases, we have some simplified definitions here:

Propylene Glycol (PG) –This is a lab-made liquid that the FDA generally views as safe in food, drugs and cosmetics. It can sometimes irritate the lungs and eyes and may be more harmful for people with chronic lung diseases like asthma and emphysema. If PG may be an irritant to you, we recommend one of our many brands that offer lower PG content.
Vegetable Glycerin (VG) – Odorless and colorless, liquid vegetable glycerin has a slightly sweet taste. Like PG, the FDA generally views it as safe. It’s found in many products, including food, both prescription and over the counter medications, and is regularly consumed in the various ways it can be used.

Most freebase brands we carry have higher concentrations of glycerin. This type of liquid offers higher levels of nicotine and delivers a more intense throat hit. Typically, these liquids start around 70% PG and are designed to simulate the feel of smoking as opposed to generating big clouds and doing tricks. Freebase juice is a great option to consume smaller amounts of nicotine but still experience the stress-relief of your vape break!

Salt Nicotine has a high absorption rate allowing it to easily pass through the body's barriers and get to the receptors, delivering nicotine in a more quick and efficient manner. This results in less puffs for a similar effect when compared to Freebase E-liquid. This thinner type of liquid is vaped at a lower temperature and allows for higher nicotine strength options up to 50mg. Salt Nicotine is great for users transitioning from high-strength cigarettes and need that quick fix of strong nicotine!

Whether you go for high strength, low strength, salt or freebase, heavy VG or PG, any option for e-liquid provides a safer, more reliable alternative to cigarettes that puts YOU in control of your quitting journey!
